About Me

Hello! I'm so glad you're here!

The 2023-2024 school year will be my fourth year teaching at Doak; however, this will be my twelfth year teaching! I previously taught sixth grade English at Chuckey Doak Elementary School, fourth grade science and social studies at Chuckey Elementary School, and fifth grade English/language arts at Chuckey Elementary School. Doak is the school that I grew up in from Kindergarten through eighth grade; I’m glad to be back "home."

I graduated from Chuckey Doak High School in 2007. I then continued my education at East Tennessee State University. I graduated from ETSU with my bachelor's degree in education in December 2011.

I am married to the love of my life, Kyle, who is also an educator. We have a six-year-old daughter, Teaguen, who is the center of worlds.

Some of my hobbies include spending time with my family, watching The Price is Right and The People’s Court reruns, and online shopping!

I look forward to the school year ahead of us and all of the great memories and people that it will bring into my path!
