Ms. Chasity's School Counseling Corner
My name is Chasity Burdine, and I have been proud to serve as a school counselor in Greene County for 19 years. I began my career at Camp Creek and Nolachuckey Elementary, where I spent four years, before joining Doak Elementary, which has been my home for the past 15 years. I am excited to celebrate my 20th year with Greene County Schools during the 2025–2026 school year.
A lifelong Greeneville resident, I earned my Associate of Arts degree from Walters State Community College, followed by a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master’s in Counseling with a concentration in school counseling from East Tennessee State University. I later completed my Educational Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University.
I am blessed with a wonderful daughter, Jaci, who attends Greeneville Middle School, a sweet shih tzu named Chloe and a wild aussiedoodle named Snickers. In my free time, I enjoy traveling—especially to the beach—shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
I feel very fortunate to work alongside such an amazing group of educators, and I am passionate about supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students.
